Trance Pioneer Dies at Age 47

Is this just a dream or are we hearing Robert Miles’ ageless classic ‘Children’ being played from the heavens? Best known for his emotion-evoking melodies, the true king of trance piano has reportedly passed away due to a disease he has been battling. Robert Miles was only 47-years-old, residing in Ibiza where he had spent his last several years devoting his talent and love for music on his radio station, OpenLab.

While limited information has been released about the unfortunate news, inspired trance artists have gone to Twitter to pay homage to Mr. Miles.

This is a sad time for the fans of Robert Miles, many of which, say that it was the legend himself that got them to find a love for trance back in the 90s. May we allow his timeless music to live eternally, just as it already has.

R.I.P. Robert Miles (November 3, 1969 – May 10, 2017)
